The Feast Of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel

The title “Our Lady of Mount Carmel” is given to Blessed Virgin Mary in her role as the Patroness of the Carmelite Order. The Feast day of “Our Lady of Carmel” is celebrated annually on 16th July. The young Josephites enthusiastically celebrated the feast with great devotion and fervor. This Feast Day is celebrated to recall the foundation of the Carmelite religious order. The Students from both Primary and Secondary Wing presented a beautiful cultural program enacting the journey and life of Mother Mary. The program commenced with a grand welcoming of the guests of the occasion, which was followed by a special prayer service, prayer dance and lighting of the “Diya” by our honorable Principal, Secretary of School and other Carmelite Sisters who had graced this auspicious occasion with their dignified presence. The lamp lighting ceremony paved the way for the felicitation of the guests of the day with a bouquet and hand made cards that expressed our feelings of love and reverence towards them. A visual extravagance in the form of a Skit depicting the magnificent virtues of Mother Mary was the highlight of the day. To make the entire event memorable the Little Josephites from the primary wing did a candle march with the flower girls. Bowing with gratitude to our Mother Mary a thought provoking message was delivered by our honorable Principal. In her inspirational discourse she brought out the significant role of Mother Mary and her innumerable virtues, which if followed religiously, can transform the course of any individual's life path. She urged the students to assimilate the virtuous qualities of Mother Mary in their life. In her concluding statements she not only wished everyone a happy Feast but also seeked blessings from the Blessed Virgin Mary for a healthier, happier, joyous and peaceful life for all the students, staff and their family members. This anticipatory program concluded on a happy note with the Secretary of School wishing every one a Happy Feast through his didactic message and a special performance – a melodious rendition - by the teaching fraternity wishing all the Sisters a Happy Feast. Here’s wishing each and everyone a Happy Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
